Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: [24SEPT26]
These Terms & Conditions apply to all private fishing charters booked with 4Front Charters (“4Front,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) in the Cayman Islands.
By making a booking, paying a deposit, or participating in a charter, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions on behalf of yourself and all members of your party.
1. Private Charters & Capacity
All 4Front Charters fishing trips are private charters unless otherwise stated.
Your booking reserves the vessel and crew exclusively for your party for the agreed charter period.
The maximum number of guests permitted on a charter is 6 passengers, subject to the vessel’s applicable capacity and safety requirements.
4Front Charters will not knowingly exceed the vessel’s permitted passenger capacity.
2. Booking & Deposit
A 20% deposit is required to secure your reservation.
Your booking is considered confirmed once the required deposit has been received.
The remaining 80% balance is due [at the end of the charter], unless otherwise agreed in writing.
If the remaining balance is not paid as required, 4Front Charters reserves the right to take necessary action to collect what is owed to the company.
Any additional services, extra time, or other charges agreed upon during the charter will be payable before or upon completion of the trip.
3. Customer Cancellation Policy
Customers may cancel their private charter free of charge up to 3 days (72 hours) before the scheduled departure time.
Cancellations made at least 72 hours before departure will receive a full refund of all amounts paid, including the 20% deposit.
Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the scheduled departure time are generally non-refundable.
However, 4Front Charters may, at its discretion, make an exception in circumstances involving a serious medical emergency, family emergency, or other exceptional circumstance.
No-shows will be treated as a cancellation within 72 hours and will generally be non-refundable.
We strongly recommend that guests obtain appropriate travel insurance when travelling to the Cayman Islands.
4. Cancellation or Rescheduling by 4Front Charters
The safety of our guests and crew comes first.
4Front Charters reserves the right to cancel, postpone, delay, shorten, relocate, or reschedule a charter when reasonably necessary due to circumstances including:
• Unsafe weather or sea conditions;
• Tropical storms, hurricanes, or other severe weather;
• Mechanical or vessel-related problems;
• Government restrictions or orders;
• Marine conservation requirements or fishing closures;
• Changes to applicable laws or regulations;
• Illness, injury, or emergency involving the captain or crew; or
• Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
If 4Front Charters cancels a charter before departure because we are unable to safely operate the trip, we will offer the customer a rescheduled charter or a full refund, at the customer’s choice, subject to availability and the circumstances of the cancellation.
4Front Charters is not responsible for expenses associated with flights, hotels, rental cars, transportation, meals, or other activities resulting from a cancelled or rescheduled charter.
5. Weather & Sea Conditions
Weather and sea conditions can change rapidly in the Cayman Islands.
The captain has final authority to determine whether conditions are safe for departure and whether a charter can safely continue.
The captain may change the route, fishing location, departure time, activities, or return time when reasonably necessary for safety.
If conditions become unsafe during a charter, the captain may return to shore early.
Where appropriate, 4Front Charters will work with guests to reschedule an affected trip.
6. Fishing Results
Fishing is a recreational activity and no catch is guaranteed.
4Front Charters does not guarantee:
• A particular species of fish;
• A particular quantity of fish;
• A particular size of fish;
• A particular fishing location; or
• That any fish will be caught.
Fishing locations and techniques may be changed at the captain’s discretion based on weather, sea conditions, tides, currents, fishing conditions, safety, conservation requirements, and other circumstances.
7. Catch & Guest Fish
All catch is subject to applicable Cayman Islands laws, regulations, conservation rules, protected-species requirements, size limits, catch limits, seasons, and Marine Protected Area restrictions.
Guests are entitled to 50% of the legally retained catch from their charter.
The remaining 50% of the legally retained catch is at the captain’s discretion and may be retained by the captain/crew or otherwise handled as determined by the captain.
The captain has final authority regarding which fish may legally be retained.
No fish or marine life may be retained where doing so would violate Cayman Islands law or applicable conservation regulations.
Any protected, undersized, out-of-season, or otherwise prohibited species must be released or handled in accordance with applicable law.
The 50% guest allocation applies only to fish that are legally retained and does not include fish that must be released by law, conservation requirements, or the captain’s safety or operational judgment.
8. Fish Cleaning & Filleting
4Front Charters will clean and fillet the guests’ 50% portion of the legally retained catch as part of the charter service.
Fish will be cleaned and prepared after the fishing portion of the trip, subject to reasonable operational conditions.
The final quantity or weight of cleaned and filleted fish will depend on the species caught, the amount of legally retained catch, applicable regulations, and the natural yield of the fish.
4Front Charters does not guarantee a particular quantity or weight of cleaned or filleted fish.
9. Cayman Islands Fishing & Conservation Rules
All fishing activities conducted during a 4Front Charters trip are subject to applicable Cayman Islands laws and conservation regulations.
Guests acknowledge that certain areas are Marine Protected Areas and that restrictions may apply depending on the location, species, season, fishing method, size, and quantity of catch.
The captain may refuse any request to catch, retain, possess, transport, or otherwise handle marine life where doing so would violate applicable law or conservation requirements.
Guests must not ask or pressure the captain or crew to retain an illegal or protected fish.
10. Captain’s Authority
The captain is responsible for the safe operation of the vessel and has final authority while the vessel is underway.
Guests must follow all reasonable instructions given by the captain and crew.
The captain may change the fishing location, route, activities, or return to shore whenever reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, vessel operation, or the wellbeing of passengers and crew.
The captain may refuse boarding or remove a passenger where reasonably necessary for these purposes.
11. Safety & Assumption of Risk
Boating and fishing involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:
• Falls and slips;
• Moving or slippery surfaces;
• Rough seas and unexpected vessel movement;
• Fishing hooks, lines, rods, knives, and other equipment;
• Fish and other marine life;
• Sun exposure and heat;
• Dehydration;
• Seasickness;
• Boarding and disembarking the vessel;
• Unexpected weather or sea conditions; and
• Other risks associated with recreational boating and fishing.
Guests voluntarily participate in the charter and acknowledge these inherent risks.
Guests agree to follow all safety instructions provided by the captain and crew.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under Cayman Islands law.
12. Alcohol, Drugs & Unsafe Behaviour
Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited.
Guests may consume alcohol responsibly where permitted by 4Front Charters, but excessive alcohol consumption or intoxication that creates a safety risk is not permitted.
The captain may refuse boarding or terminate a charter if a passenger is dangerously intoxicated, behaves aggressively or abusively, creates a safety risk, threatens or harasses another person, intentionally damages property, or fails to follow reasonable safety instructions.
If a charter is terminated because of a guest’s unsafe or disruptive behaviour, no refund will ordinarily be provided.
13. Children & Minors
Children are welcome subject to the vessel’s capacity and safety requirements.
Parents and legal guardians are responsible for supervising minors throughout the charter.
All guests, including children, must follow the captain’s safety instructions.
14. Medical Conditions & Emergencies
Guests are responsible for informing 4Front Charters of any medical, mobility, allergy, or other condition that may reasonably affect their ability to participate safely.
Guests should bring any necessary medications with them.
In an emergency, the captain will take reasonable steps to protect the safety of passengers and crew and may return to shore or seek emergency assistance where necessary.
15. Personal Belongings
Guests bring personal belongings onto the vessel at their own risk.
4Front Charters is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
Guests should take particular care with phones, cameras, sunglasses, wallets, and other items that may be damaged by water.
16. Damage to Vessel or Equipment
Guests are expected to treat the vessel, fishing equipment, and other Company property with reasonable care.
A guest may be responsible for damage to or loss of Company property caused by intentional acts, reckless behaviour, misuse, or failure to follow crew instructions.
Guests are not responsible for normal wear and tear.
17. Late Arrival
Guests should arrive at the designated departure location [15 minutes] before the scheduled departure.
The charter will generally end at the originally scheduled return time even if guests arrive late.
Late arrival does not automatically entitle a guest to a refund or extension.
Any extension of the charter is at the captain’s discretion and may be subject to additional charges.
18. Charter Duration
The advertised charter duration refers to the agreed charter period and does not guarantee that the entire period will be spent actively fishing.
Time may be required for boarding, safety procedures, travelling to and from fishing grounds, moving between fishing locations, returning to port, cleaning equipment, and cleaning and filleting the guest portion of the catch.
19. Photography & Video
4Front Charters may take photographs or videos during a charter for operational, promotional, website, advertising, or social-media purposes.
If you do not wish to appear in promotional photographs or videos, please notify us before the charter.
Where required by applicable law, 4Front Charters will obtain appropriate consent before using identifiable customer images for promotional purposes.
20. Privacy
4Front Charters may collect personal information necessary to process bookings, communicate with guests, operate the charter, process payments, maintain business records, comply with legal requirements, and provide customer service.
Personal information may include names, telephone numbers, email addresses, booking details, payment-related information, and information reasonably required to safely operate a charter.
We will handle personal information in accordance with applicable Cayman Islands data-protection requirements and our Privacy Policy.
21. Payment Information
Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers.
4Front Charters does not generally store complete credit or debit card information.
22. Force Majeure
4Front Charters is not responsible for delays, cancellations, interruptions, or changes caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, hurricanes, natural disasters, government action, fishing closures, mechanical emergencies, illness, transportation disruptions, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Where reasonably possible, we will work with affected guests to reschedule their charter.
23. Complaints
If you have a concern regarding your charter, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible so that we have an opportunity to address the matter.

Any dispute arising from or relating to a booking or charter shall be dealt with in accordance with applicable Cayman Islands law.
25. Changes to These Terms
4Front Charters may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The Terms applicable to a booking will generally be the version in effect at the time the booking is made, unless a change is required by law or otherwise agreed with the customer.
26. Severability
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
